Principles.
Play the long game.
In the world of business, we are seduced by the latest trends and tactics - obsessed with what works right now. We chase the newest strategies, the next big hack, only to find that what is relevant today becomes obsolete tomorrow. This blog is for those who seek something deeper, who understand that true power lies in mastering the principles that endure.
I delve into the timeless truths that have governed human behavior for centuries - principles of psychology, strategy, and persuasion that lie at the core of marketing and sales. These are not the quick-fix solutions so common in today’s business landscape; they are the immutable laws that have stood the test of time. In the rush to capitalize on fleeting opportunities, many miss the deeper forces that drive lasting success.
What you’ll find here are insights drawn from history’s greatest thinkers, strategists, and leaders - those who understood that while tactics come and go, the underlying principles remain the same. To excel in any field, you must root yourself in these eternal truths, not in the shallow waters of momentary trends.
Rob Talks Business is your guide to mastering the long game, navigating the complexities of human nature and business with the wisdom of the ages. I invite you to step away from the noise of the present moment and immerse yourself in ideas that will sharpen your instincts, refine your strategy, and give you the edge - whether in marketing, sales, or leadership.
This is not a place for the trendy or the tactical. It is for those who seek mastery, for those who understand that success comes from seeing beyond the surface to the deeper currents of influence.
Welcome to the pursuit of timeless wisdom.

FAQ
I don't get a lot of questions, but when I do, I answer them! Feel free to reach out.
Do you offer consulting?
Yes, I work as a consultant. Right now, I am all booked up; however, please feel free to reach out to me. I am often open to sell individual hours of my time, and for longer term contracts we might be able to figure something out.
Why do you write content based on quotes and histories?
After falling into the trap of following trends and tactics I was seeing succeed for other businesses, I found myself losing my point-of-view of what made me unique in business. I decided to replace social media with books on history, philosophy and psychology and ended up found that thinking through the lens of enduring principles was yielding highly actionable strategic thought-leadership vs. formulaic following. My hope is that I can help others achieve the same!
A side benefit: I find that I can more easily recollect quotes and stories from the recesses of my brain, helping me bring forward concepts when I need them.
What do you actually look like?
I am in fact not an animated head with no eyes or mouth. You'll have to book a consulting call to see exactly what I look like, but I would describe myself as the human version of the Lego Man.
